About the National Consulting Practice
We serve diverse clients including Managed Care Organizations, Medicaid and Medicare health plans, state and government agencies, healthcare providers, private equity firms, and industry trade associations. Our goal is to help these clients secure Medicaid contracts and improve their Medicaid operations and financial performance.

About The Role
Sellers Dorsey seeks a Director, Consulting to support clients in California. The role involves developing innovative solutions to improve access, quality, and outcomes in Medicaid, managing senior client relationships, overseeing policy and project execution, and providing strategic advice to stakeholders. The Director will also identify new business opportunities and lead proposal development, primarily impacting California but also nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance, operational support, and policy expertise to clients.
  • Manage senior client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and project success.
  • Develop innovative solutions for health and human services challenges.
  • Navigate complex regulatory environments and policy changes.

Business Development

  • Create new products and solutions for evolving client needs.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in California.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including agencies and healthcare organizations.
  • Contribute to proposals and presentations for new engagements.

Internal Capacity Building & Culture

  • Participate in initiatives to strengthen the firm's culture and collaboration.
  • Share knowledge within communities of practice.
  • Mentor colleagues to foster professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years in healthcare policy management or consulting.
  • Experience leading teams in California Medicaid (Medi-Cal) programs.
  • Advanced degree (preferred): Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Business, Economics, MBA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is approximately $154,300 to $195,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
