Flagship Pioneering, headquartered in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Compliance Director to build and lead our government contracts and grants compliance program. This role will design policies, training, and monitoring, with broad responsibility for scalable global standards as operations expand.

You will work closely with outside advisors during the ramp-up and partner with Finance, Contracts, and other teams to ensure seamless, compliant contracting and grant processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• An advanced degree or relevant compliance certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) preferred; J.D. or advanced regulatory training a plus.

Responsabilités

• Operationalize the government contracts and grants compliance program including policies, training, certifications, monitoring, and remediation.
• Build controls, documentation, and reporting for government contracts, grants, and funded programs.
• Monitor evolving financial services and capital markets regulations affecting Flagship’s investment activities and build related compliance infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain the compliance framework for Flagship’s fund operations, including investor communications, conflicts of interest, and books and records.
• Track regulatory developments affecting private fund sponsors and tailor program enhancements to evolving obligations.
• Coordinate country-specific compliance for expanding international operations and set scalable global standards.
• Establish consistent compliance ownership and escalation pathways across Flagship ecosystem.
• Work with outside advisors during ramp-up to limit external support over time.
• Partner with Finance, Contracts, and other functions to reflect compliance in contracting and grants.
