Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in San Francisco seeks a Director of Competitive Intelligence & Insights - Oncology to guide decision-making for early-stage programs and solid tumor research.

You will synthesize external scientific and clinical data, maintain competitive landscape analyses, deliver actionable insights to Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial and senior leadership, and monitor conferences and emerging data to inform strategy.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in science or engineering (required).
• 8+ years in competitive intelligence, strategy consulting, or biotech/pharma roles.
• Expertise in solid tumor oncology and biologics modalities.
• Strong scientific evaluation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with data sources (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov, Cortellis).
• Familiarity with AI tools including LLMs.

Director of Competitive Intelligence & Insights - Oncology, supporting early-stage clinical programs and research in solid tumor indications.

Responsibilities

• collect and synthesize external scientific and clinical data using advanced tools, including AI, to inform strategic decisions;
• maintain competitive landscape analyses and competitor profiles;
• deliver actionable insights to Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and senior leadership;
• monitor scientific conferences and emerging data;
• collaborate across functions to define key strategic questions and support corporate decision-making.

Requirements

• advanced degree in science or engineering;
• 8+ years in competitive intelligence, strategy consulting, or biotech/pharma roles;
• expertise in solid tumor oncology, biologics modalities;
• strong scientific evaluation, communication, and presentation skills;
