Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve our enterprise compensation strategy, partnering with the VP of Total Rewards. You will lead market analyses, design competitive packages, and drive annual rewards cycles with FP&A budget modeling.

The role requires 7+ years in compensation, strong sales/retail focus, and experience with executive compensation design in public or high-growth environments. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience with increasing scope and responsibility.
  • Experience leading enterprise compensation strategy and execution.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling compensation, incentive, and retention programs in high-growth environments.
  • Strong focus on sales operations and retail organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate current-state compensation programs and structures and recommend data-driven enterprise-wide enhancements.
  • Own and evolve compensation strategy in partnership with the VP, Total Rewards
  • Introduce AI tools and process improvements to increase productivity and outcomes
  • Lead compensation market analyses to ensure competitive pricing and internal equity
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to benchmark roles and design competitive total rewards packages
  • Lead the annual rewards cycle, including merit and promotion reviews, with FP&A budget modeling
  • Advise business leaders as a subject matter expert on the company's total rewards philosophy
  • Develop and scale compensation, equity, variable pay, bonus, and performance-based incentive programs
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Sales, Retail, Operations, Tech, and executive leadership
  • Build reward frameworks that drive performance, engagement, and retention across the enterprise

Requirements


  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience with increasing scope and responsibility

  • Experience leading enterprise compensation strategy and execution

  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling compensation, incentive, and retention programs in high-growth environments

  • Strong focus on sales operations and retail organizations

  • Expertise in sales compensation design, incentive plan architecture, and performance-based reward structures strongly preferred

  • Experience in executive compensation design and administration strongly preferred

  • Experience in public company environments, compensation committee processes, governance frameworks, and regulatory considerations strongly preferred

  • Experience in B2C, retail, or sales-led B2B organizations preferred

  • Strong project management skills across complex, cross-functional workstreams

  • Strong analytical skills in data modeling, forecasting, and compensation metrics

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and adapt to changing business needs

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure

  • Ability to develop and mentor talent

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred
