Job summary

Abound Health in North Carolina seeks a Director of Community Partnerships & Referral Development – IDD Services to lead the External Relationships team and drive referral growth across NC, NJ, PA, and MI. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on strategic partnerships and community engagement.

You will build and manage high-value referral partnerships, travel 50–75% to market offices, and collaborate with intake, clinical, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure exceptional partner

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of healthcare services and community-based systems.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships that drive referrals.
• Experience coaching and leading high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with referral partners including MCOs and hospitals.
• Represent Abound Health at industry events and community meetings.
• Lead and develop the External Relationships team with clear performance goals.
• Manage a portfolio of high-value referral partners and generate referral opportunities.
• Develop and implement new partnership and outreach strategies to drive growth.
• Track referral activity, relationships, and market trends using CRM and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with intake, clinical, marketing and leadership teams to support client placements and partner experiences.
