Job summary

Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation seeks a Community Education Coordinator Director to develop and implement community education events and programs in the Bristol Bay area. This role oversees the WIC program and collaborates with Village Tribal programs to promote healthier lifestyles and disease prevention.

Ideal candidates will be Registered Dietitians with WIC or Maternal Child Health experience, strong grant capabilities, and cross-cultural sensitivity across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with preferred WIC program experience or related field such as Maternal Child Health.
• Experience with grant implementation is a plus.
• Must have cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity to growth and development across lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Grant Writer to complete the WIC proposal for state funding each year.
• Administers the Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation WIC Program as described in the state contract.
• Prepares and submits all program and budget reports required by the state WIC Office and BBAHC.
• Provides nutrition counseling for WIC clients and documents in the WIC SPIRIT system.
• Counsels high-risk WIC clients and develops individualized care plans.
• Develops and implements village outreach plan to increase WIC caseload.
• Provides WIC orientation and training for vendor personnel and monitors vendors.
• Develops and implements health education community events throughout Bristol Bay.
• Coordinates with other programs to increase community outreach.
