Job description

Mineralys Therapeutics is a publicly traded, clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing medicines to target diseases driven by abnormally elevated aldosterone. Our initial product candidate, lorundrostat, is a proprietary, orally administered, highly selective aldosterone synthase inhibitor that we are developing for cardiorenal conditions affected by abnormally elevated aldosterone, including hypertension and chronic kidney disease.

The Director, Commercial Program Management will drive commercial and cross-functional sub-team(s) forward to enable the execution of corporate strategy and goals for the successful commercial launch of Lorundrostat. Reporting to the Head of Program Management, the PM will work in close collaboration with the Chief Commercial Officer as well as with the Medical Affairs team, as the need arises, to achieve functional and corporate Commercial goals. The successful candidate will have program management experience, extensive launch experience, and a strong ability to function in an ambiguous and fast paced work environment. The Commercial Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire launch process for the Company’s pharmaceutical products, ensuring that all activities are executed on time and align with the commercial strategy. The US East Coast is the preferred location for this role.

  • Oversee commercial projects with agile approach to ensure budget, scope and schedule are aligned with corporate priorities and objectives.
  • Manage a cross-functional commercial launch team in market readiness, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Finance, and Compliance.
  • Lead sub-team meetings to review, track and coordinate project milestones and activities, as well as collaborate on and communicate program details, risks and mitigations. Ensure that all team members understand project goals, objectives and strategic value, the project plan/schedule, and critical path activities both at their individual/functional level as well as for the overall project.
  • Create and manage launch plans to align strategies with corporate goals and meet timing requirements. Support team in the execution of the plan.
  • Develop and maintain a launch dashboard for senior leadership visibility.
  • Co-lead reviews of launch deliverables and align development and commercial teams.
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential risks, issues, gaps and challenges. Collaborate with the cross functional team to identify mitigations and drive resolution of issues and project impediments.
  • Prepare project status updates and similar presentations for Management, including progress against plans, emerging issues, risks, and mitigations
  • Collaborate with Finance and Commercial to manage commercial vendor budgets and resources.
  • Utilize a variety of project management tools, systems, software and techniques to support the development and scaling of high-performing teams and contribute to project management methodologies.

Travel

This position requires travel 4-5 times per year. Frequently travel outside the local area and overnight, some of the travel may be international. You must be able to travel without restrictions.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or related discipline preferred.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in project management managing and/or coordinating domestic and/or international product launches in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of drug development including Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Compliance.
  • PMP Cert preferred.
  • Proficient in various Project Management tools, software, systems, etc. with preference for direct experience with Smartsheet and Veeva CRM.

Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.

US Salary Range: $176,000 - $212,000
