Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP of Commercial Lines to act as a national SME, driving operational excellence across the organization. You will lead workflows, standardize processes, and guide strategy with Divisional and Regional leadership to improve service delivery and shareholder value.

The role requires a P&C license, CPCU/CIC preferred, and 5–7+ years of leadership in a large brokerage setting.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License is required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent) preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large insurance brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Lines Strategy: Develop and execute initiatives to strengthen operations and performance.
• Operational Excellence: Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and client outcomes.
• Workflow Standardization: Promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Root Cause Analysis: Evaluate issues and implement corrective actions.
• Workforce Planning: Analyze staffing and capacity to support growth.
• Managed Services Alignment: Ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment with goals.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as a national Commercial P&C SME guiding operations and workflows.
• M&A Integration Support: Assist in integration planning and standardization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build partnerships with producers, operations, and leadership.
• Systems & Technology Optimization: Promote EPIC usage and reporting tools to improve performance.
• Performance Analysis: Use metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Change Leadership: Drive adoption of new processes and practices.
