Job description

Director, Code Compliance – Monroe County BOCC

Live and work in the Florida Keys – Monroe County is seeking an experienced Code Compliance Director to lead and coordinate the County’s code compliance operations and programs that protect community health, safety, and quality of life.

This critical senior leadership role oversees high-level planning, budgeting, and daily operations for the Code Compliance Department, ensuring cases are managed efficiently, fairly, and in accordance with County ordinances and applicable State and Federal regulations. The Code Compliance Director works closely with County Administration and the County Attorney’s Office on complex enforcement matters, provides guidance on interpreting codes and policies, and represents the department before elected officials, advisory boards, community groups, and the public.
