Qualifications

  • 10+ years in clinical research, financial management and operations.
  • Expertise in clinical trial budgeting and coverage analysis (oncology & non-oncology).
  • Previous consulting experience is highly desirable.

We’re seeking a strategic, client-facing clinical trial budgeting and coverage analysis expert to lead our Budgeting Services offering. The role combines hands-on budgeting skills, technology innovation, and leadership to grow an outsourcing business focused on clinical trial budgeting and coverage analysis while working collaboratively with our business development team.

Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the VP of Delivery, serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leader for a new outsourcing offering focused on clinical trial and research budgeting and coverage analysis.
  • Working with Vitalief’s Service Delivery leadership, create and profitably grow Vitalief’s clinical trial and research budgeting and coverage analysis outsourcing offering.
  • Review clinical trial protocols and develop clinical trial budgets using internal resources and advanced AI technology.
  • Oversee budget and coverage analysis activities and ensure compliance with CMS, FDA, and NIH guidelines.
  • Participate in consulting engagements and support high-impact financial projects.
  • Support sales efforts and participate in client presentations.
  • Create client proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs); participate and be influential in closing business deals.
  • Help build and evolve innovative service offerings in clinical trials and research.
  • Represent Vitalief at industry events, panels, and thought leadership forums.
  • Help clients negotiate trial budgets with sponsors/CROs; collaborate across departments.
Required Skills:
  • 10 or more years in clinical research, financial management and operations.
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Previous consulting experience is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in creating business proposals (i.e., Statements of Work) and ability to gain consensus and acceptance.
  • Strong experience with clinical trial budgeting and coverage analysis (oncology & non-oncology).
  • Skilled in budget negotiation with sponsors/CROs.
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams, projects, and client relationships.
  • Passion for innovative solutions and working for a startup-like, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Remote position but must be willing to travel on occasion (up to 20%) to client locations and industry conferences within the USA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Standing, walking, visual perception, talking and hearing. Lifting up to 20lbs. Limited travel to various physical locations domestically.
