Job summary

Protego Biopharma, Inc. seeks an Associate Director, Clinical Operations to lead the operational execution of complex clinical trials across U.S. and international sites, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while complying with ICH/GCP.

This senior role partners with cross-functional teams, vendors, and CROs, mentors staff, oversees budgets and study metrics, and travels as needed. Hybrid work in San Diego with remote flexibility and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field.
• 10+ years of clinical trial management experience.
• Proven track record leading trials from start-up through close-out.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, initiation, execution, and close-out of complex clinical trials in accordance with protocol, SOPs, GCP, and regulations.
• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned studies within time, budget, and quality expectations.
• Mentor and support direct reports, fostering development and team performance.
• Participate in site selection, feasibility assessments, and site initiation visits.
• Oversee CROs and vendor deliverables, including labs, biometrics, safety, and eTMF providers.
• Collaborate with internal teams on budgets, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
