The Illumina Lab Services (ILS) team is looking to hire a Director, Clinical Laboratory or Clinical Pathology to join their team at the laboratory in Foster City, CA to support a clinical testing menu for primarily oncology and reproductive health, with opportunities to expand into clinical whole genome sequencing for genetic disease testing. In this role you will hold the CLIA license for the clinical laboratory and will support and/or delegate all duties under those requirements as appropriate to ensure that all tests meet medical, professional and regulatory performance standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience serving as the CLIA Director or at least a Section Director with a successful record in working across all functions in the laboratory (laboratory operations, test development, bioinformatics and software, quality and customer service and support) to ensure that patient testing is performed to the highest standards. In addition, candidates with previous experience in somatic oncology molecular testing are strongly preferred.

The estimated base salary range for the Director, Clinical Laboratory (AP/CP MD Pathologist or ABMGG/LGG-certified PhD) role based in the United States of America is: $211,000 - $316,600. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
