Job summary

Maze Therapeutics seeks a Director of Clinical Business Operations to lead budgeting, forecasting, and vendor financial management across the development portfolio. You will partner with Clinical Operations and Finance to drive scalable processes, governance, and financial insights.

This role requires a collaborative leader with deep experience in negotiating CRO/vendor budgets and establishing standardized budgeting tools for portfolio planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 10–12+ years of experience in Clinical Business Operations, Clinical Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Clinical Operations, or related roles in biotech/CRO.
• Extensive experience developing and managing global clinical trial budgets across all phases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic partner to Head of Clinical Operations and Clinical Development for budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee vendor negotiations, MSAs, work orders, and site budgets with cross-functional teams.
• Develop scalable budgeting standards, dashboards, and KPIs to support portfolio decisions.
• Lead vendor financial management, forecasting, and change logs throughout studies.
• Collaborate with Finance on accruals, annual plans, and long-range portfolio planning.
