Job summary

FIS seeks a Client Risk Relations Director in Jacksonville, FL to lead a team overseeing contractual client audit activities for security control management. The role partners with business units to ensure compliance and timely responses to regulatory inquiries.

You will drive strategic risk initiatives, supervise cross-functional collaboration, and monitor evolving laws impacting products and services. A focus on enterprise controls and customer assurance is essential.

  • Experience with enterprise risk, client audits, and due diligence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team that manages client audit/vendor due diligence activities, which are contractual obligations. Provide enterprise managed controls, engage the line of business for product evidence and information.
  • Execute strategic initiatives for the Risk organization to drive efficiency and process improvement to meet both internal FIS and customer needs.
  • Monitor and communicate laws and regulations that impact FIS products, services and business activities. Provide guidance on implementing and managing the required controls.
  • Communicate detailed requirements to the line of business teams, provide compliance reviews and guidance for new and expanding products and services to validate solution approaches, identify weaknesses and monitor status to completion.
  • Meet with business unit Compliance Officers on a regular basis for status updates on compliance issues to verify that regulatory compliance requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Work with FIS legal counsel and federal/country/local agencies as needed to address regulatory and compliance issues, concerns or questions.
  • Assist the business with responses to customers for audit, compliance and regulatory inquiries

About the role:

As Client Risk Relations Director, you will lead a team responsible for contractual client audit activities of logical and physical security control management.

About the team:

Be a part of a team of analysts in Enterprise Risk who manage FIS Total Issuing Services client audits.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead a team that manages client audit/vendor due diligence activities, which are contractual obligations. Provide enterprise managed controls, engage the line of business for product evidence and information.
  • Execute strategic initiatives for the Risk organization to drive efficiency and process improvement to meet both internal FIS and customer needs.
  • Monitor and communicate laws and regulations that impact FIS products, services and business activities. Provide guidance on implementing and managing the required controls.
  • Communicate detailed requirements to the line of business teams, provide compliance reviews and guidance for new and expanding products and services to validate solution approaches, identify weaknesses and monitor status to completion.
  • Meet with business unit Compliance Officers on a regular basis for status updates on compliance issues to verify that regulatory compliance requirements and deadlines are met.

What you will need:
  • Ability to lead people in an advanced professional role requiring high skill with extensive knowledge and proficiency. Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated, or an expert needs to be consulted.
  • Wide latitude for independent judgment is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • This level is expected to lead team members through compliance support activities and ensure effectiveness of the Compliance Program for assigned products, services, and business activities.
  • Responsible for regulatory oversight of core or significant high risk product lines that contain complex banking functions.
  • Solid knowledge of technical network security implementations with the ability to communicate them to clients.
  • Considered as a subject matter expert in several areas of regulatory compliance, banking regulations, security, audit, and industry standard audits.
  • Typically requires five or more years of relevant experience.
