Qualifications

• PhD or terminal degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology preferred; Master’s or JD with leadership/operational experience considered.
• Documented scholarly record and active participation in national or regional professional organizations.
• Demonstrated excellence in graduate teaching, including online, lab-based, or hybrid simulation models.
• Strong collaborative skills with ability to work across departments (e.g., Homeland Security or Cybersecurity).
• Commitment to inclusive education and developing cultural competencies among a diverse, adult student population.
• Excellent organizational and technical proficiency, including Canvas LMS, MS Office, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Direct graduate academic advising, guiding students from admission through progression and degree completion.
• Lead curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation efforts.
• Oversee the soft launch (Spring 2027) and full implementation (Fall 2027) of the CJ graduate program.
• Supervise and evaluate adjunct faculty; ensure alignment with Canvas LMS standards and school benchmarks.
• Drive recruitment, enrollment growth, and student retention initiatives.
• Represent the college through scholarship at conferences/publications and contribute to college committees.
