Job summary

Closed Loop Partners is seeking a Project Director or Senior Program Manager for The Center for the Circular Economy in New York City. The role blends consulting rigor with hands-on implementation leadership across recycling, material flows, and circular economy initiatives.

Exceptional candidates will have 7+ years of management consulting, professional services or corporate strategy experience, with strong client leadership, financial analysis and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, professional services, corporate strategy, engineering consulting, or related rigorous analytical roles.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex projects from problem definition through execution.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills for ambiguous challenges.
• Strong quantitative capabilities including financial modeling and investment assessments.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technical subjects and work with technical experts.
• Experience managing client relationships and communicating with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Structure ambiguous business, technical and environmental challenges into clear research questions and actionable recommendations.
• Lead quantitative and qualitative assessments of recycling systems and material flows to evaluate opportunities.
• Develop and oversee financial and operational analyses, including capital expenditures and ROI.
• Assess technical solutions with equipment manufacturers and facility operators.
• Synthesize findings into strategies and recommendations for corporate partners and decision-makers.
• Lead multi-stakeholder initiatives from strategy through execution and measurement.
