Job summary

Make-A-Wish America is seeking a Chapter Revenue Advisor to drive revenue growth across a portfolio of chapters. You will lead donor engagement, moves management, and major gifts strategies while collaborating with national offices to scale fundraising programs.

The role requires 5–7 years in fundraising with a focus on major gifts, strong CRM skills, and the ability to coach staff and volunteers. Remote work is supported; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Non‑Profit Management, Marketing, Communication, Business or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of fundraising/development experience with major gifts focus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with donors, volunteers and executive team members.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM fundraising databases required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the defined service model for a portfolio of chapters through strategy discussions and donor meetings.
  • Drive enterprise revenue growth with a focus on YOY gains for portfolio chapters.
  • Lead local development plans aligned with enterprise strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of Revenue initiatives and resource chapter participation.
  • Support chapters in achieving fundraising KPIs and major gifts metrics.
  • Convene fundraisers and leaders from chapters for regular exchanges.
  • Foster donor-centric fundraising and a culture of philanthropy.
  • Design and deliver training aligning the enterprise around shared vision.

Position Summary:

The Chapter Revenue Advisor (CRA) is a leader in enterprise-wide efforts to realize the full revenue potential of Make‑Wish. The CRA promotes the enterprise-wide vision and strategy for revenue growth. The CRA is a subject‑matter‑expert on fundraising and will partner with chapters to implement best practices at a local level—such as specific steps to increase revenue, develop talent, establish accountability, utilize the CRM database, engage donors, and build capacity. The CRA manages a portfolio of chapters according to a standard service model.

Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Sales management expertise and advanced experience leveraging data, change management, and coaching to establish accountability, drive activity, and yield revenue growth
  • Subject‑matter expertise in metrics‑driven fundraising, including high‑volume, fast‑paced, scalable programs focused on growth
  • Demonstrated track record of effective revenue generation through a personal one‑on‑one solicitations from individuals through the fundraising process; including closing multiple gifts at the $10K+ level while achieving revenue goals of $500K+and ability to advance the capability, capacity and confidence of others to achieve same
  • Demonstrated track record of leading change which resulted in revenue growth
  • Displays executive presence through exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Manages own time effectively and manages in all directions as appropriate
  • Can clearly articulate the mission, vision and sense of urgency of the organization while matching them with interest of donor
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement the defined service model for a portfolio of chapters serving chapter leadership, fundraisers, and major gifts officers through strategy discussions, moves management sessions, donor meeting preparation, solicitation preparation, and lead generation
  • Drive revenue growth enterprise-wise, with focus on achieving YOY revenue growth goals for portfolio chapters
  • Lead portfolio chapters implementation of local development plans and in alignment with local and enterprise‑wide strategic plans
  • Maintain knowledge of Revenue department initiatives, identify opportunities for chapters, and resource chapter participation
  • Support chapters in achieving fundraising KPIs and metrics for advancing relationship‑based fundraising in major gifts, foundations, and corporate channels, contributing to collaborative fundraising with the national office, and donor stewardship
  • Convene fundraisers and leaders from portfolio chapters for regularly scheduled gatherings to exchange ideas and workshop challenges
  • Foster creativity, collaboration, donor‑centric fundraising, and a culture of philanthropy and growth across chapter and national office partners
  • Participate in design and delivery of training programs that align the enterprise around a shared vision, strategy, and playbook
  • Identify emerging fundraising talent for career development
  • Source and develop templates, tools, and best practices from chapters for inclusion in the enterprise‑wide library of turnkey resources
  • Collaborate with one or more of the following national departments: CRLs, Integrated Marketing, Corporate, Leadership Gifts, Revenue Operations, Planned Giving, and Brand
  • Train and support chapter staff in database management best practices (portfolio management, moves management, prospecting)
  • Support chapter in revenue reporting and tracking through the use of Salesforce database and PowerBI tools
  • Partner with RAN (Revenue Advancement Network) Council to share best practices and support enterprise‑wide training on various fundraising topics.
  • Perform other related job duties, as assigned

Work Environment:
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
  • Travel may be required for internal and external meetings, up to 20%.
  • May require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours.

This Role's Hiring Range: $115,264 USD - $135,605 USD
