Job summary

Pueblo School District No. 60 is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join the Preschool co‑teaching team. The role requires applying child development knowledge to promote growth, organizing a safe learning environment, and collaborating with parents and staff.

The position reports to the School Principal/Early Childhood Specialist and offers a salary schedule with fringe benefits. 165 teaching days per year, non‑exempt status, and supportive professional development are included.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Large Center Director Certification or Level 3 Early Childhood Professional Credential.
• Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License or reliable transportation.
• Must pass fingerprint-based background checks and Trails background check.
• Excellent English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom with a focus on social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth.
• Collaborate with a teaching team to implement preschool curriculum and support individual needs.
• Record student progress and complete data reports; communicate with families and teachers.
• Support daily routines including meals, bathroom breaks, and classroom transitions.
• Float to other classrooms as needed and assist absences in the Early Childhood Program.
• Ensure licensing compliance and supervise classroom operations and safety.
