A leading organization is seeking a Director for Certification and Membership Qualifications who will play a pivotal role in ensuring local member associations meet YMCA standards. This position emphasizes leadership within the organization's governance, supporting policies that enhance the YMCA mission and ensuring compliance among local associations. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in YMCA management and possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
This position is responsible for supporting the work of the Certification and Membership Qualifications Division with the overall leadership in the work of the guiding local member associations in accountability to policy, governance and Membership Qualification. This position will support the Divisions work with the Governance and Qualifications Advisory Committee, supporting the development of policies and procedures that will strengthen YMCA movement nationally. The Director, Certification and Membership Qualifications will monitor how local associations comply with the qualifications of membership and how they demonstrate a commitment to delivering on the Y mission, protecting the Y brand, and assuring long-term sustainability.
