Job description

Provide leadership to the Center for Leadership ( CFL ) in collaboration with the Faculty Director of the Leadership Minor and the Executive Director of the Boerigter Center

• Oversee CFL Consulting, Leadership Development Programs, and the Leadership Forum, ensuring that all activity is in harmony with the CFL Mission, Vision, and Leadership Philosophy
• Promote the CFL within and outside of Hope College
• Lead fundraising efforts to support CFL programming (e.g. Nonprofit CFL Consulting Fund, Leadership Development Program)
• Provide leadership to and closely collaborate with the CFL Program Manager
• Establish an annual CFL budget and manage expenditures accordingly
• Establish and monitor performance to annual goals for the Center
• Support the Academic area of the CFL (Leadership minor) by contributing to the Faculty Director’s instructors team
• Keep friends and supporters of the CFL well informed
• Contribute to and support the work of the Boerigter Center team as requested
  
  

CFL Consulting Program Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and manage a diverse and qualified team of student consultants
• Recruit, train, and manage an excellent team of project coaches and subject matter experts
• Acquire and retain Clients and consulting projects
• Work with the program manager to organize project teams and oversee their performance
• Manage the financial elements of the program
• Grow the program consistent with the CFL Vision

Leadership Development Program ( LDP ) Responsibilities

• Recruit partners in the Hope community to participate in the LDP
• Fulfill the retreat facilitator role for at least four retreats each year
• Recruit and train additional facilitators as needed and oversee them
• Manage the financial elements of the program
• Grow the program consistent with the CFL Vision
• Serve as the facilitator for the event

Hours: 0.5 FTE (0.6 FTE July – April and 0.3 FTE in May – June)

Physical Demands

This position requires remaining in a sitting or standing position for frequent periods of time; uses office machinery such as a computers, printers, copy machines; Occasionally involves moving items over 10 pounds; frequently will move between different offices/workspaces/buildings; and requires effective communication abilities.
