Job summary

Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) seeks a Director of Career Development to lead the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development and advance career and professional development across the college. The role focuses on experiential learning, employer and alumni engagement, and post-graduation success for undergraduates, graduates, and alumni.

The director will foster connections between academic learning, professional practice, and student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Student Affairs, Arts Administration).
  • Progressive professional experience in career services, teaching, advising, student affairs, or arts administration.
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion in all forms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Center and supervise a team.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and assess career programs for students and alumni.
  • Integrate career development into the student experience across majors.
  • Develop experiential learning opportunities and external partnerships.
  • Engage employers, alumni, and community partners for internships and employment.
