Minimal travel; reports to SVP, Government Affairs; requires deep knowledge of Congress, federal agencies, and ability to maintain confidential information. The position is full-time in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• At least four years of Capitol Hill experience required.
• Proficiency in the legislative process, including hearings and markups.
• Ability to read legislative text; drafting skills a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted bipartisan relationships with Members of Congress and committees.
• Monitor, analyze, and anticipate federal legislation and budgets affecting the industry.
• Advocate and influence legislative agendas on Capitol Hill.
• Attend and report on congressional hearings, briefings, and markups.
• Attend and participate in industry fundraisers.
• Develop and maintain relations with strategic partners and coalitions.
• Coordinate cross-functional input for advocacy campaigns and communications.
• Pursue expansion of job-related responsibilities and knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
