Ivy Tech Community College in South Carolina seeks a Lead for Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to provide day-to-day supervision and leadership for campus safety. The role reports to the Executive Director of Public Safety and works with campus leadership.

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of related supervisory experience. Willingness to travel within the state and occasionally out of state is required. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience with progression in responsibility and supervision.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead supervision of campus Public Safety staff and recruitment efforts.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to implement emergency plans and drills.
• Ensure compliance with Clery Act and FERPA provisions.
• Develop staffing plans for security and oversee campus safety initiatives.
• Represent PSEP during crises and coordinate with stakeholders.
