Job summary

University at Buffalo seeks a dynamic Director of Energy Management & Decarbonization to lead energy efficiency, clean energy adoption, and aggressive emission reductions aligned with SUNY and NYS climate mandates. You will coordinate energy policy, budgeting, metering, and grant opportunities with the Chief Sustainability Officer and Facilities leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy, or related field.
• Proven history of energy management and emissions reduction.
• Experience with building systems (HVAC, BAS/BMS) and energy metering.
• Familiarity with carbon accounting and CLCPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead campus energy policies and decarbonization guidelines.
• Oversee energy utilities management and budgeting.
• Manage campus energy metering, data, and reporting.
• Support building performance and commissioning efforts.
