The Director, Business Transformation is a strategic leadership role at AEP focused on driving transformation initiatives within the Transmission organization.

You will lead cross-functional efforts to identify opportunities, establish KPIs, and implement innovative solutions while ensuring regulatory alignment and best practices across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the utility/transmission industry.
• PMP, Lean, Six Sigma or similar transformation certifications preferred.

• Lead strategic transformation initiatives aligned with the Transmission CoE vision.

Reporting to the VP, Transmission Center of Excellence, this role will lead cross-functional efforts to identify process improvement opportunities, establish key performance indicators, implement innovative solutions, and enhance organizational effectiveness. The Director will serve as a key change agent, aligning transformation efforts with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Leads continuous improvement cohorts and coaches participants in development of capabilities and execution of improvement initiatives. Maintains continuous improvement community of practice.
