Job description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Business Intelligence is responsible for creating and delivering solutions to support the advancement of AgileOne’s Business Intelligence Strategies. These strategies should align with AgileOne’s global objectives for establishing consistent global reporting governance practices and delivering standardized reporting and analytic information. This position integrates strong business intelligence strategic thinking with a deep understanding of Contingent Workforce Strategies to drive organizational and client program performance. This position will require the following strategic management and project management skills and experience.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS (each duty and function listed indicates % of time to total 100%):

  • Business Intelligence Strategy and Consultation (30%)
    • Co-create and execute the global BI vision and strategy in partnership with the VP of BI, driving adoption and execution across regions.
    • Design and deliver BI solutions that directly support client business outcomes, operational efficiency, and program performance.
    • Provide strategic BI leadership across Contingent Workforce, Services Procurement, and Recruitment Process Outsourcing workforce solutions.
    • Display a high degree of technical acumen in developing and leading the delivery of Power BI dashboards, analytics products, and reporting solutions that are scalable, secure, and client focused.
    • Guide BI support for VMS implementations, enhancements, and data integrations.
    • Provide subject matter expertise on MSP operations, workforce program analytics, and industry best practices.
    • Partner with internal and client stakeholders to translate strategy into actionable, operational BI solutions.
    • Communicate the value of BI solutions clearly to executive leaders and clients, adapting messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a global BI team; establish standards, best practices, and delivery consistency.
    • Utilize project management disciplines to develop and deliver BI products and solutions timely and accurately.
    • Incorporate predictive analytics and emerging AI-enabled capabilities into BI strategy and solutions.
    • Participate in Business Development activities by championing AgileOne’s BI platforms and services and actively contribute to the design of client solutions involving AgileOne’s analytic platforms.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor who can translate strategic objectives into operational BI delivery plans and measurable outcome.
  • Reporting and Analytics Management (30% of time)
    • Provide leadership for BI requirements during VMS implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
    • Demonstrate elevated proficiency with VMS platforms such as SAP Fieldglass, Beeline, and additional/common platforms (e.g., Workday VNDLY, Magnit, ERP solutions, Coupa contingent/SOW modules, and other market VMS solutions).
    • Experience with direct end-to-end VMS data integration practices: API-based extraction, scheduled data pulls, secure file transfers (SFTP), data mapping, transformation logic, reconciliation, auditability, and monitoring.
    • Integrate generative AI capabilities and technologies into BI products and incorporate predictive analytics and advanced insights into Power BI solutions
    • Build and oversee custom Power BI solutions and products that can be deployed across multiple clients and geographies while supporting client-specific needs.
    • Align global standards for Power BI architecture, including Enterprise semantic models (datasets), dataflows, deployment pipelines, governance, and workspace strategy.
    • Continuously improve reporting and analytics processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of work activities performed by Client Services and AgileOne Data Analysts
  • Team & Organizational Management (30% of time)
    • Manage and develop a global team with a focus on talent growth, technical excellence, delivery quality, and strong partner relationships.
    • Build high-performing teams; Coach technical and consultative skill development.
    • Connect BI priorities to business outcomes; Anticipate industry trends and client needs.
    • Distill complex technical topics into clear business language; Persuade and align stakeholders and is comfortable presenting to senior client leadership;
    • Establish repeatable delivery practices, QA standards, reporting governance, documentation, and adoption mechanisms.
    • Drive milestones, mitigates risk, and ensures on-time delivery of measurable results.
  • Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement and Other job-related duties as assigned (10% of time)
    • Develop and maintain project plans, documentation standards, delivery methodologies, and reporting governance practices.
    • Monitor project risks, dependencies, and issues while proactively implementing mitigation plans.
    • Establish and track key performance indicators related to reporting delivery, adoption, data quality, service levels, and client satisfaction.
    • Support organizational initiatives related to reporting standardization, process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The primary duties of this position are performance and execution of business operational requirements of the Company. This position’s primary duties include the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Strategy, Reporting, or a related discipline, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Bim analytics, or reporting functions within an MSP, staffing workforce solutions, VMS, RPO, or other complex service environment.
  • Strong understanding of the MSP operating model, including contingent workforce management, supplier performance, client delivery, program operations, cost saving, and workforce analytics.
  • Proven experience developing an executing a BI and analytics strategy aligned with organizational and client objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements and large data sets into actionable insights, executive-level recommendations, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Advanced experience with enterprise BI and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent technology.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and data visualization principles.
  • Experience working with data from VMS, ATS, CEM, ERP, HRIS, financial, or workforce management platforms, including integration of data across multiple systems.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED/# OF STAFF:
Manages a team up to 15 members and provides support to direct reports so they may be effective application of their responsibilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS REQUIRED (written & verbal):
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • PowerBI: Highly proficient; other data modeling tool experience, preferred
  • APIs, Integrations, and Data Engineering: highly proficient
  • Microsoft Fabric / Azure + Medallion Architecture: experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP Data Integration: intermediate to advanced
  • Python, DAX, SQL, Power Automate, Power Query: required
  • Generative AI & Predictive Analytics (Awareness + Application): preferred
