Position Summary The Strategic Partnerships Group is seeking a Director to support New Business Development and Strategy for Samsung’s cross-platform service business. This role will be responsible for identifying and executing strategic partnerships that drive revenue, enable new products and services, and enhance the experience across Samsung’s device ecosystem. This role will offer an opportunity to define Samsung’s partnership strategy and product roadmap and lead major initiatives within the company. The candidate should have the ability to quickly develop expertise and a point of view on new industries, technologies and partnership opportunities, and advocate for, and build consensus around, their recommendations among executives and other key stakeholders. The candidate should have been equally comfortable negotiating contracts and collaborating on product strategy, and should have experience leading complex, high-impact projects with cross-functional teams. The candidate should have experience working at the cross-section of tech and media and possess a strong understanding of the TV landscape, including the key services, distribution channels and business models. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as a strong analytical bent and the ability to navigate and embrace complexity. The candidate must be a self-starter and will need be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, take the initiative, manage multiple partners, and work under tight timeframes.
Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York City, NY is expected to be between $220,000 to $255,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
