Position: Director Business Development

Location: Remote (Regular travel)

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 Base + Bonus

Overview

A rapidly expanding, nationally recognized organization in the B2B e-commerce space is seeking a Director of Business Development to drive growth and strategic partnerships across key institutional and trade sectors. This high-impact leadership role will report directly to the executive team and focus on expanding the company’s footprint within government, education, and skilled trade markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new customer acquisition within government agencies, educational institutions, and trade enterprises.
  • Identify, build, and close strategic partnerships to grow revenue and brand footprint.
  • Oversee the sales lifecycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and close.
  • Set performance goals and establish a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and build strategic roadmaps.
  • Evaluate industry trends, competitor activity, and integration opportunities with key trades service platforms.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both large and small customers, driving product adoption and loyalty.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and conferences.
  • Work closely with marketing, IT, customer experience, product, merchandising, and operations to align growth strategies.
  • Report key performance metrics and maintain accurate sales data.
  • Lead bid strategy and compliance for public sector contracts.
  • Represent the business in high-level negotiations with public entities and institutional clients.
