The Director of Business Development evaluates external growth opportunities, interfaces with therapeutic heads, and leads negotiations to access assets of interest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to present to senior management on partnerships.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Experience leading due diligence and deal negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Search & Evaluation team and therapeutic area heads to improve deal identification and diligence.
• Leads cross-functional evaluations of drug programs from preclinical through clinical stages across assessment areas.
• Participates in and ideally leads negotiations in business transactions.
• Works with legal, finance, commercial, clinical and scientific teams to present BD proposals to senior management.
• Contributes to strategy planning for financial investment decisions.
