A Brief Overview

As the Director of Business Applications, you will provide strategic leadership, responsible for the successful implementation, optimization, and maintenance of our enterprise-wide business systems and applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Technology, People Team, Finance, and other departments, to align technology solutions with business objectives. This role requires a combination of strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of business processes to drive operational excellence and support organizational growth. You may also oversee some Business Analyst team members.

Implementation and ongoing usage experience with AI-powered process automation and AI Agents to transform business workflows, including:

  • Development and integration of AI agents, LLMs, and automated workflows
  • Business Process Discovery (BPD)
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
  • Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
  • Business Process Orchestration (BPO)
  • System Integration and Interface Enablement (iPaaS)
  • Agentic Process Automation (APA)
  • Automation Practice (Adoption & Operational framework)
  • Hyperautomation future state (Workato, Microsoft, etc.)
  • AI practices and compliance

What You Will Do

  • Team Leadership: Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the team's professional development.
  • Business Applications Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business applications strategy and roadmap, aligning technology solutions with business goals and driving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Systems Implementation and Optimization: Oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of business applications, ensuring they meet business requirements, adhere to best practices, and align with security standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, identify opportunities for system enhancements, and align technology solutions with business processes and requirements.
  • System Integration and Data Management: In coordination with the Data & Analytics team, drive system integration initiatives, working with GTO and external vendors to ensure seamless data flow and process automation between business systems. Establish and maintain data management practices to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Change Management: In partnership with Business Units, coordinate change management efforts related to business applications, ensuring effective communication, training, and user adoption. Drive organizational change to maximize the benefits of system implementations or upgrades.
  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend system enhancements or automation solutions to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • System Upgrades and Enhancements: In coordination with GTO Engineering teams, facilitate system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption and optimizing system performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and execute enhancements aligned with business needs.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure business systems comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and data security requirements. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain robust security measures.

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 12+ years business systems management, IT leadership, or a similar role, with a track record of successfully leading and managing teams.


Skills And Abilities

  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise-level business systems, such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, or financial systems. Experience with cloud-based systems implementation and management is desirable.
  • Deep understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals and objectives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology solutions with business needs and long-term organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Project management expertise, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within established deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge of data management principles, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements, data privacy regulations, and security best practices.

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $122,200.00 to $268,900.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
