LendingOne is seeking a Director of Underwriting - Builder Finance to lead underwriting of complex builder financing transactions. You will define standards, guidelines, and workflows to scale the Builder Finance division while partnering with Sales, Credit, Capital Markets, and Leadership.

The role is a remote opportunity with travel to Boca Raton HQ; requires deep expertise in construction finance, budgeting, draw administration, and borrower risk evaluation, with a proven track record in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
• 7+ years underwriting, credit risk, or real estate lending experience in new construction or builder finance.
• 3+ years in new construction or builder finance, residential single family/townhome.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex builder finance transactions and establish standards.
• Structure transactions balancing risk and growth.
• Review exceptions and recommend credit solutions.
• Develop underwriting guidelines to scale builder finance.
• Monitor market trends and report to leadership.
• Perform periodic loan reviews for quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with Sales, Closing, Processing, Draw Administration and Credit to streamline processes.
• Support system improvements to underwriting efficiency.
