Job summary

Merck in the United States seeks a Business Unit Engagement Leader to orchestrate CEI transformation initiatives across the BU and cross-functional partners. The role is the day-to-day face to CEI and aligns with DHH and Content Accelerator to drive integrated planning and execution.

The position requires 7+ years in pharmaceutical marketing or related fields, strong leadership, and the ability to deliver scalable strategies; hybrid work model with up to 10% travel, reporting to the Executive

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical marketing, commercial strategy/strategic planning, or marketing support.
• Demonstrated ability to understand the business to improve organizational results.
• Strong leadership to guide cross-functional teams and drive transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Takes a lead role in early capability and transformation design, acting as the “voice of the business” for their brand.
• Transformation teams’ first point of contact for validating deployment and capability design.
• Monitor and evaluate transformation progress via capability adoption scorecard framework.
• Develop scaling plan and operating model around future BU use cases.
• Execute roadmap for scaling business opportunities over a 2-3 year horizon.
• Tie transformation agenda to business outcomes and metrics.
• Prioritize transformation projects based on strategic importance and resource availability.
• Implement strategies that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness.
• Monitor progress of transformation initiatives and drive continuous innovation.
• Partner with BU Engagement Director to align on brand priorities.
