Job summary

The Hughes Center is a structured psychiatric residential treatment facility serving youth with neurodevelopmental disorders. The Director of Behavioral Services leads patient care programs, trains staff, and ensures a safe, therapeutic environment focused on measurable outcomes and reintegration into home and community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Doctorate preferred in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Clinical Psychology, or related Human Services field.
• At least 5 years of experience providing services and leadership to programs serving children and adolescents with ASD or related neurodevelopmental disabilities, preferably with significant behavioral challenges, and in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Train, educate, and evaluate all patient care providers in areas of ASD/ABA/behavior management.
• Oversee daily programmatic structure of patient care units and ensure engagement in therapeutic groups and daily tasks.
• Lead the facility by designing, implementing, and directing a scientific, research-based continuum of care.
• Coordinate therapeutic incentive programs to ensure an individualized treatment approach for each patient.
