Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Director to lead end-to-end delivery of software platform capabilities for the Autonomy domain. This role coordinates multiple engineering teams to ensure predictable delivery, quality, and alignment with business goals.

It is a high-visibility leadership position focusing on delivery excellence rather than architecture. The Director balances priorities, manages dependencies, and drives governance while building high-performing teams across global locations to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related.
• 12+ years in software development, engineering program management, or software delivery leadership.
• 5+ years of leadership managing managers or large teams.
• Experience delivering complex embedded software, software platforms, or large-scale tech products.
• Proven track record leading multi-team, cross-functional programs from planning through release.
• Experience in automotive/autonomous systems or ADAS environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software platform capabilities for autonomy products.
• Own planning, execution, integration, and release readiness across multiple teams.
• Drive program execution against milestones, quality targets, and commitments.
• Align platform roadmaps with autonomy product requirements.
• Manage risks, issues and dependencies across the organization.
• Establish delivery governance and ensure consistency across programs.
• Coordinate across software, systems, validation, product, and operations teams.
• Provide regular status updates and executive communications.
• Develop engineering managers and delivery leaders; foster high performance.
