Job summary

Audible is seeking a Director, Content Acquisition & Development (North America) to lead deal generation for audiobooks and Audible Originals. You will negotiate content rights with authors, agents, and publishers, and partner with Editorial, Marketing, and Legal to align strategy and execution.

You will manage end-to-end deal lifecycle, evaluate submissions, make offers, and drive release strategy for each title while building strong partner relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of publishing, audio, or entertainment industry deal negotiation experience.
• Experience negotiating complex agreements with legal terminology.
• Experience acquiring content across genres in traditional book space.

Responsibilities

• Prepare projects for internal support and valuation with data, budgets, and proposed terms.
• Structure and negotiate deals with authors, agents, publishers and other content creators.
• Grow and maintain relationships with partners such as authors, agents, managers, and publishers.
• Manage high-volume deal flow against specific metrics.
