Director, Artificial Intelligence & Analytics (AIA)

The Product Director of AIA is a key leadership role in the Product Management Group. The Product Director is responsible for establishing the product direction and vision for the AIA product area and is aligned with the BST Global corporate goals and strategies. This role is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for all activities being executed by their cross–functional product team as it relates to all phases of the product delivery lifecycle. Efforts include go–to–market planning in collaboration with Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Client Management and continue through product development, quality assurance and release readiness processes. The Product Director is considered a thought leader and subject matter expert, which includes responding to market trends, presenting at key events, and writing blogs, white papers and articles as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate with their product manager in establishing the vision, strategy and tactical plan for their product line
  • Provide industry expertise in all aspects of analytics, big data and the knowledge management market vertical, including market analysis, best‑in‑practice business processes, and technology trends currently being leveraged in the space as well as the future direction for the platform and integration product area
  • Lead product management activities and report to the product manager
  • Understand competitive products and landscape, crafting their production vision and roadmap accordingly
  • Work directly with the product/discipline directors to ensure compliance with process and procedures outlined in the SDLC and proper priority in the evolution of their products and solutions
  • Collaborate with and support Sales, Marketing, and Client Management in sales and client relationship activities related to their product area and expertise
  • Engage with the Solutions and Support groups to collaborate and/or assist with implementation and product issues raised during implementations or in production support and ensure all are resolved
  • Monitor and collaborate on significant engagements related to the product area to stay abreast of feature application and gain direct client feedback/input for solution enhancement/evolution
  • Resolve internal and client‑facing issues/conflicts
  • Provide BST Global user conference content and participation
  • Promote the product area by participating in speaking and publishing activities
  • Brief BST Global executive leadership and fellow operations leaders on the scope, assumptions, and risks related to the delivery of their product initiatives and vision
  • Leadership – Effectively enlist the aid and support of their Product team and others in achieving corporate goals and objectives
  • Proactively participates in corporate leadership forums, taking ownership of corporate direction and outcomes
  • Knowledge – Possess and evolve adequate and relevant knowledge specific to their product area and related function
  • Establish and evolve appropriate product management processes, procedures and supporting systems
  • Product Vision, Strategy & Tactical Execution – Establish product vision in harmony with and support of the corporate vision, evolve product strategy consistent with product vision, and establish and execute a tactical plan to deliver on strategy
  • Resource Management – Own and progress the Product team’s organizational structure.
  • Hire, mentor, complete performance appraisals, train and advise on career development.
  • Promote the corporate culture and staff morale
  • Collaboration – Work effectively and proactively with others to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Judgment – Consistently execute timely and reasoned judgment in concert with appropriate and considered input from others

  • Advanced degree beneficial but not required
  • Preferred areas of academic focus include MIS, IT management and business management
  • Requires 10 or more years of experience relevant to the P&L in product management, specific relevant professional service industry experience that includes strategic and tactical leadership responsibilities
  • Technical understanding of big data architectural patterns, machine learning algorithms and large language models
  • Preferred experience in data platforms such as DataBricks and Microsoft Fabric
