Job description

Company Description Epsilon is seeking a Director, Analytic Consulting to join our Analytics Consulting practice, part of the Analytic Services team. This role provides a clear, strategic, forward-looking analytics vision that enables effective decision making, improves paid media effectiveness, and delivers measurable business impact for clients.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Data Science, AI, Strategy, Client Services, Product, and Delivery teams to translate complex marketing and media challenges into scalable analytic solutions. You will support consultative client engagements, define measurement approaches for paid and owned channels, and help clients adopt Epsilon’s analytic capabilities, proprietary datasets, cleanroom environments, and media measurement solutions.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, data-driven, client-first analytics leader with deep experience in paid media analytics, audience measurement, campaign performance, segmentation, and marketing effectiveness. This individual can design and guide complex analytic solutions, simplify technical concepts for business audiences, and coordinate talented onshore and offshore analytics teams in the execution and delivery of high-quality client work.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a client-facing analytics lead for paid media measurement, audience analytics, and marketing effectiveness engagements across relationships of varying size and complexity
  • Define paid media measurement strategies for brand, performance, and customer-level campaigns, creating alignment on KPI frameworks, success metrics, and reporting expectations across client and internal collaborators
  • Partner with client marketing, media, analytics, and agency teams to interpret results and recommend optimizations across audience, placement, channel, creative, offer, budget allocation, and campaign strategy
  • Translate complex methodologies, including experimentation, causal inference, attribution, segmentation, predictive modeling, incrementality, and closed-loop measurement, into clear, client-friendly insights and guidance
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions that improve marketing effectiveness across paid and owned media channels
  • Access and analyze data in Epsilon’s proprietary tools, PeopleCloud, cleanroom environments, CDPs, and other data platforms to measure audience quality, media exposure, campaign outcomes, online and offline sales impact, and customer behavior
  • Oversee media data readiness, ingestion, and quality requirements to ensure audience and campaign reporting is feasible based on client advertising operations, owned digital ecosystems, and available data assets
  • Develop and communicate actionable insights, optimization recommendations, executive-ready narratives, and quantifiable business impact to clients and senior collaborators
  • Author and contribute to analytic plans, technical requirements, project estimates, statements of work, timelines, deliverables, and resource plans that support successful execution
  • Coordinate onshore and offshore analytic consulting, data science, and junior analytics resources in designing, implementing, validating, and delivering end-to-end analytics solutions
  • Ensure analytical outputs meet quality standards through validation, QA, adherence to methodology standards, defensible interpretation, and clear positioning in client-facing materials
  • Develop measurement procedures, benchmarks, tool playbooks, and ways of working that support repeatable, scalable paid media analytics delivery
  • Find opportunities for automation, product enhancement, new analytic offerings, and improved internal practice standards
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Analytics, Consulting, Client Services, Product, Technology, Data Science, AI, and Delivery to deliver integrated solutions
  • Coach, mentor, and develop analytics team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on client value, innovation, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative rigor such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on, relevant experience in analytics, data science, marketing analytics, or digital media analytics
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing paid media performance across channels such as programmatic, search, social, display, video, connected TV, experiential, and out-of-home, including understanding how these channels contribute to digital and broader marketing measurement
  • Deep understanding of customer-level marketing analytics, audience creation, segmentation, campaign performance measurement, testing, attribution, incrementality, closed-loop measurement, and optimization
  • Experience measuring audience performance using first-party data, Epsilon-owned data assets, CDPs, cleanroom environments, media exposure data, and other combined data sources
  • Ability to design and implement analyses using large record-level datasets, including advertising impressions, site visitation, audience attributes, campaign activity, online sales, offline sales, and customer behavior data
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods, experimental design, hypothesis testing, causal inference, predictive modeling, segmentation, and marketing measurement methodologies
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, or similar data manipulation and analytic tools
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple analytics projects, requests, timelines, and resources concurrently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to simplify complexity, foster dialogue across teams, and present analytic findings in a clear, compelling, business-focused manner
  • Skilled in data visualization and executive-level storytelling to communicate the value of analytics to senior collaborators
  • Proven ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams including Strategy, Client Services, Product, Technology, Data Science, AI, Delivery, and Analytics
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing analytics team members, including coordination of junior, onshore, and offshore resources
