Job summary

Under Armour is seeking a Director, AMS In-Store Marketing to lead strategy, execution, and optimization of in-store initiatives across UA DTC and Wholesale. You will oversee campaigns, POS communications, and activations that bring the brand to life in retail.

This role collaborates with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Operations, Retail, Sales, Brand & Channel Marketing, Creative and Vendor Partners to ensure elevated brand standards and measurable impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 12 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience, Typically 16 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • Collaborative, solutions focused, organized, detailed, deadline focused, helpful and resilient as our ways or working are ever-changing due to client demands
  • Retail Marketing background and mindset with proven track record of growing retail businesses and optimizing processes, teams and partnerships to deliver results
  • Consumer Orientation - Able to think consumer-first and support relevant strategies that drive preference and loyalty for UA
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and proposes solutions in a timely manner; Works well in group problem solving situations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of in-store marketing strategies that increase customer engagement, conversion, and long-term brand affinity across the Americas retail fleet.
  • Drive sales growth and promotional effectiveness by aligning in-store marketing initiatives with commercial objectives, seasonal priorities, and consumer insights.
  • Champion a consistent, premium, and customer-centric brand experience at every point of purchase, ensuring execution excellence across all retail environments.
  • Optimize marketing investments, operating processes, and cross-functional planning to improve efficiency, scalability, and business impact.
  • Serve as a key strategic partner to Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Retail, and Operations leaders, driving alignment and accountability across functions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative retail marketing solutions that enhance the customer journey, strengthen competitive differentiation, and support evolving consumer expectations.
  • Lead end-to- end seasonal planning and post-season hindsight reviews, leveraging insights and performance data to drive continuous improvement, inform future strategies, and maximize return on investment.

The Director, AMS In-Store Marketing is responsible for developing and leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of all in-store marketing initiatives that enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales performance across retail locations in UA DTC and Wholesale channels. This role oversees the development and deployment of compelling customer-facing retail campaigns, point-of-sale communication, and promotional activations that bring the brand to life in the retail environment.

Working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Operations, Retail, Sales, Brand & Channel Marketing, Creative and Vendor Partners, the Director ensures consistent, elevated execution of brand standards. The role balances strategic leadership with operational excellence, ensuring that marketing efforts translate into meaningful customer interactions and measurable business results.

Workplace Location
  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
  • Work Schedule:This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation

$165,000.00-$220,000.00USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
