Job Title: Director, Allergy MSLs, Region Central

Location: Remote

About The Job

The Director, Allergy MSLs, Region Central oversees the effective functioning of MSLs in the region. Key objectives include coaching, training, managing performance, ensuring scientific knowledge, supporting KOL relationships, facilitating scientific exchanges, developing medical engagement plans, and managing resources and budgets.

Main Responsibilities
Team support and development
  • Witness MSL activities, diagnose, and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Monitor plan execution and coach MSLs.
  • Develop training and career plans for MSLs.
  • Prioritize improvements considering team and business needs.
  • Collaborate on KPIs and monitor progress.
  • Manage budgets and ensure training compliance.
  • Address organizational gaps in headcount or skills.
KOL strategy and management
  • Translate priorities into goals for the region and MSLs.
  • Identify and map KOLs, develop engagement plans.
  • Follow-up on engagement plans and assess KOL needs.
  • Support and attend scientific events.
Scientific communication
  • Develop scientific materials and train stakeholders.
  • Gather and evaluate scientific insights and feedback.
  • Organize meetings and training sessions.

Travel 60% or more, including domestic and international travel.

Challenges & Context

Travel is substantial; remote management is necessary. Compliance with regulations and handling sensitive issues with KOLs are essential. Collaboration with commercial teams must respect regulatory boundaries.

Scope
  • Manage 8-10 MSLs, oversee training, career development, and KPIs.
  • Monitor data, feedback, and collaborate across geographies.
Requirements
  • MD, PharmD, PhD, or similar, with 2+ years pharma/biotech experience; or advanced healthcare degree with 5+ years in respiratory clinical settings.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to pass background check.
  • Experience operating a company car and safe driving practices.
