Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software architect to define and own end-to-end AI/ML platform architecture, focusing on ontologies, semantic models, and knowledge representation. You will lead production-grade systems, data pipelines, model lifecycle management, and inference services across cloud, edge, and on-prem deployments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and modern software practices.
• Hands-on ontology design, semantic modeling, knowledge graphs, or domain-driven data models.
• Proven success delivering AI/ML-powered production systems at scale.
• Combination of hands-on technical depth and strategic leadership.
• U.S. Person: citizen, permanent resident, asylum/refugee status, or able to obtain export authorization.
• Experience with MLOps platforms, model governance, and AI lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with explainable AI, ethical AI, and regulatory considerations.
• Prior experience in industrial, enterprise, or highly regulated domains.
• Ability to lead senior technical talent and influence across boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end software architecture for AI/ML platforms.
• Lead scalable, production-grade AI/ML systems, including data pipelines and model lifecycle management.
• Drive ontologies and domain models for interoperability and data reuse.
• Ensure architectural alignment across cloud, edge, and on-prem deployments.
• Establish engineering practices for governance, explainability, data quality, security, and compliance.
• Partner with product, data science, and business leaders to identify high-value use cases and roadmaps.
• Guide teams on model selection, training, feature engineering, and MLOps.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Advise senior leaders on architectural concepts and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with global teams on responsible AI deployment.
• Report to the VP CTO – Forge & AI and mentor senior architects.
