Pfizer is seeking a Director of Engineering - Team Lead in a hybrid role based in Connecticut. You will lead a team responsible for AI-enabled marketing platforms, focusing on scalable data capabilities and real-time decisioning in cloud environments.

You will partner with Data/AI engineers, product managers, and external teams to build real-time data pipelines and activation workflows, driving engineering excellence and enterprise resilience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leading technical teams.
• Expertise in cloud environments, data platforms, and system integrations for marketing workflows.
• Track record of delivering large, cross-functional, global platform initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the platform vision with adoption, usability, and business impact goals; build scalable data access and activation capabilities.
• Architect systems optimized for AI-driven workflows and real-time decisioning; enable intelligent audience activation and automated optimization.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team with focus on architecture, code quality, and reliability.
• Design and evolve distributed, cloud-native AI-forward systems that are secure and highly available; ensure enterprise standards for resilience and compliance.
• Own end-to-end delivery from architecture to deployment; establish CI/CD and automation; track data accuracy and deployment velocity.
• Partner with Product, Data, Marketing, and external platforms to translate business needs into scalable systems and communicate complex concepts to executives.
