AbbVie is seeking a Director of Clinical Development AI Partnerships to drive external innovation in AI for clinical development. You will lead sourcing, evaluation, pilots, and governance across R&D, AI Strategy, and external collaborations.

The role requires deep clinical development experience, fluency in AI-enabled life sciences, and strong cross-functional leadership to translate opportunities into rigorously governed partnerships that accelerate drug development.

Qualifications

10+ years in clinical development, clinical innovation, or life sciences technology roles.
Experience evaluating external opportunities, pilots, collaborations, or licensing.
Strong written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing, evaluation, and diligence of AI-driven clinical development opportunities.
Design pilots, benchmarks, and evaluations of AI models for clinical use.
Coordinate deal flow and governance with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Support deal execution and negotiate partnership structures with BD&A and legal.
