Job summary

Suno is seeking a Director of Business Development, Publishing Partnerships to drive commercial strategy and execute high-level relationships with music publishers. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives across product, legal, and finance and report to the Chief Commercial Officer.

The role requires extensive negotiating experience, a track record with senior stakeholders, and the ability to operate without a fixed playbook in a fast-growing AI music company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in business development and/or commercial negotiations within the music and digital technology space.
• Proven track record negotiating and closing complex, high-value deals, including first-of-a-kind partnerships.
• Experience working with music publishers.
• Strong ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple levels, including executives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
• High degree of autonomy, ownership, and strategic judgment; comfortable without a playbook.
• Strong product intuition and collaboration with product and technical teams.
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments.

Responsibilities

• Support Suno’s commercial strategy for partnerships with music industry players, aligning across product, legal, finance, and operations.
• Negotiate and close deals with publishers, including first-of-kind structures.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships to expand Suno’s reputation and credibility.
• Monitor AI music market dynamics and advise leadership on opportunities and strategy.
• Develop scalable approaches to contract management, partner operations, and long-term collaboration.
• Support strategic ecosystem partnerships and platform integrations as Suno grows.
