Foundation Partners Group is seeking a Director of AI Enablement to lead a transformational initiative across our 250+ locations and home office operations. This role owns the strategy, change management, and execution of AI and workflow automation—identifying opportunities, building internal coalitions, and implementing systems that eliminate manual work and drive operational efficiency.
You'll be equal parts process architect, technical integrator, and change leader. You'll audit undocumented workflows, build champions across departments (payroll, finance, operations, field leadership), and string together systems (N8N, Zapier, Make, custom APIs) to automate processes at scale. This role requires both the credibility to get buy-in across the organization and the technical depth to translate vision into working infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Change Management & Stakeholder Alignment — Build coalitions of internal champions across departments (payroll, finance, operations, field leadership). Overcome resistance, communicate the vision for AI/automation adoption, and ensure behavioral change sticks. This is your primary lever for success.
- Audit & Map Current Processes — Conduct discovery across key departments to identify workflows that are candidates for automation. Work with teams to document undocumented processes (or build documentation from scratch). Prioritize opportunities based on impact and feasibility.
- Design & Build Automation Infrastructure — Evaluate and implement automation tools (N8N, Zapier, Make, custom APIs). Integrate systems so they talk to each other via APIs, webhooks, and data flows. Ensure infrastructure is built correctly the first time (no automating mistakes 100x).
- Create Runbooks & Process Documentation — Build briefs and infrastructure that make automations repeatable, maintainable, and transferable. Document decisions and configurations so the process doesn't live in one person's head.
- Measure & Report Progress — Track ROI, time savings, and adoption metrics. Communicate wins internally to maintain momentum and justify continued investment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of operational and project leadership in complex, multi-function environments
- Proven experience leading organizational change initiatives and managing resistance
- Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing AI or workflow automation initiatives from concept through deployment
- Hands‑on technical fluency with N8N, Zapier, Make, or similar automation platforms; working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and data integration
- Ability to audit, document, and map undocumented or complex workflows
- Demonstrated success building cross-functional coalitions and driving adoption across departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI/LLM tools — Exposure to Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools; comfort with agentic workflows and prompt engineering.
- Prior role automating a complete workflow end-to-end — You've taken a process from concept through rollout, handled the technical pieces, and tracked adoption.
- Experience in a large, complex organization — You've navigated cross-functional dependencies, scaled initiatives, and managed competing priorities.
