The role owns ACE (Advanced Context Engine), H.I.G.’s proprietary single‑pane‑of‑glass AI platform, and is accountable for the scalable architecture, roadmap, systems integration, agent development, and adoption work required to translate AI capability into measurable gains in productivity, deal velocity, and decision quality. The Director will set platform direction in close partnership with firm leadership, including the CTO, the GenAI Steering Committee, the Managing Director of Commercial and Digital, deal team leadership, and the AI Training and Development function.

Role Responsibilities
  • ACE Platform Architecture and Roadmap – oversee scalable architecture and product roadmap for ACE in partnership with the CTO and firm leadership; translate front‑office workflows into platform requirements, release plans, and reliability and performance targets; manage vendor and partner relationships and represent H.I.G. with strategic AI providers.
  • Systems Integration – lead data, MCP, and connector integration across deal sourcing, CRM, research, document management, and portfolio reporting systems; establish reusable integration patterns, evaluation harnesses, and governance for new connections; partner with IT, InfoSec, and Data teams on architecture, access controls, and data lineage.
  • Bot and Agent Development Prioritization – maintain a prioritized backlog of bots, agents, and skills with explicit ROI hypotheses and success metrics; direct internal and partner development resources against the highest‑value front‑office workflows; set quality, evaluation, observability, and rollback standards prior to release.
  • Investment Professional Adoption and Enablement – drive adoption across investment professionals through workflow integration, white‑glove support, and embedded enablement; define and report on usage, impact, and quality metrics by team and workflow; partner with the Director of AI Training and Development on capability building and the GenAI Champions network; surface portfolio‑relevant patterns to the Operating Partner team where appropriate.
  • Cross‑Firm Coordination and Governance – coordinate with the GenAI Steering Committee, Champions network, and senior firm leadership on direction and trade‑offs; contribute to AI governance, acceptable use, and skills policy.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 8+ years of combined experience across product management, applied AI deployment, and enterprise software, including at least 3 years leading AI or platform initiatives at scale.
  • Demonstrated track record shipping AI or agent products in production with measurable business impact.
  • Strong technical fluency in LLM tooling (Anthropic, OpenAI), retrieval, agent frameworks, MCP, and enterprise integration patterns.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and executive presence.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in private equity, asset management, or other financial services.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with deal workflows (sourcing, diligence, portfolio monitoring, and exits).
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft 365, Salesforce or equivalent CRM, and the modern data stack.
  • Preferred: Experience hiring and leading small, high‑leverage technical teams.
