Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Director of Optimization & Strategic Initiatives to lead enterprise-wide programs that advance customer engagement, analytics, and operating-model evolution. You will partner across Marketing, Analytics & Performance Excellence, Brand Excellence, Customer Engagement Strategy & Innovation, Medical, Commercial Operations, and Technology to drive AI-enabled, data-driven capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS, or related discipline) preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business strategy, commercial operations, marketing excellence, or transformation.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in organizational transformation, change management, and process optimization.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives to improve commercial effectiveness, customer engagement, and performance.
• Translate strategies into actionable roadmaps and governance structures with measurable outcomes.
• Partner with senior leaders to evaluate opportunities, identify capability gaps, and recommend transformations.
• Drive LOOP readiness, cross-functional alignment, and adoption of new operating models.
• Establish closed-loop measurement and executive dashboards to guide decisions.
