Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a Director of Product Portfolio Management to lead capital planning and portfolio governance across Product, Engineering, and Finance. You will drive AI-enabled analysis to prioritize investments, track business cases, and ensure alignment with strategy and profitability targets.

You will collaborate with leadership to steer the portfolio, maintain taxonomy, and inform investor communications, while guiding cross-functional teams through complex trade-offs and execution

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in portfolio management, product management, product strategy, or product operations.
• Strong track record of managing processes and building cross-functional relationships.
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills; ability to synthesize complex ideas.
• Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred with financial grounding.
• Understanding how product, engineering and design work together to set context for portfolio decisions.
• Solid grasp of Thomson Reuters product portfolio and market dynamics.
• Financial acumen with profitability and business case analysis (ROI, IRR, NPV).
• Fluency and enthusiasm for AI tools to accelerate analysis and decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual capital planning cycle from guidance to funding decisions and in-year requests.
• Analyze product profitability and drive rationalization, sunsets, and divestiture planning.
• Maintain a master product list and portfolio taxonomy with consistent reporting connections.
• Track business cases and investment decisions throughout the lifecycle.
• Put AI at the center of analysis, synthesis, and decision support across the portfolio.
• Partner with Finance on capital allocation and profitability metrics.
• Support resource and people planning across the portfolio.
• Distill portfolio stories for leadership and investors to inform decisions.
• Align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Strategy.
