Job summary

Nscale seeks an experienced Director, DC Operations to lead the West Virginia campus, oversee day-to-day operations, readiness, maintenance, incident response, risk management, and continuous improvement in a high-availability data center environment.

You will partner with Engineering, IT/AI Infrastructure, Security, EHS, Procurement and more to ensure operational readiness, scalable processes, and strong safety standards as AI infrastructure grows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mission-critical operations, data centers, power generation, utilities, or similar highly complex environments.
• Strong leadership and people-management experience in technical teams.
• Excellent communication and decision-making under high-pressure conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the West Virginia campus and its critical infrastructure.
• Lead an operational excellence program with KPIs for safety, availability, maintenance, and training.
• Define readiness requirements for new facilities and oversee handover to operations.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, cooling, controls, and facility infrastructure reliability.
