DICK’S Sporting Goods seeks a Director, Corporate Counsel – Artificial Intelligence to guide responsible AI use across products and internal tools. You will translate evolving AI laws into practical guidance, advise product teams through the full lifecycle, and partner with Privacy, Security, IP, and Regulatory teams to ensure robust protections.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant legal experience in technology transactions, product counseling, data privacy, intellectual property, consumer protection, or related technology-focused practice.
• Experience can be from law firm, in-house, or both.
• Retail/e-commerce, consumer-facing digital products, software or SaaS experience is preferred but not required.
• Collaboration with technical and cross-functional teams is preferred.

Responsabilités

• AI Regulatory and Product Counseling: advise on AI-enabled products, monitor developments, assess risks, and recommend safeguards.
• AI Governance and Risk Assessment: perform risk assessments, classify AI use cases, and track material changes.
• AI Contracting Support and Data Rights: review and draft AI-related contracts, data rights, and security provisions.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: develop AI policies and playbooks, translate technical concepts into business guidance.
