Job summary

Capital Insurance Group seeks a Director – Agri-Business to establish and execute company performance for the agribusiness division. You will lead growth, profitability, and underwriting guidelines while managing a team across multiple states, ensuring excellence in service to agencies and policyholders.

You will oversee underwriter file reviews, development programs, and cross-state collaboration to protect and grow the agribusiness portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of agribusiness underwriting handling experience.
• Minimum 5 years of people management experience with proven leadership ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new knowledge essential to the position.
• CPCU and AFIS designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute performance objectives for the agribusiness insurance division, driving growth and profitability.
• Develop and monitor growth and production goals and underwriting rules/guidelines.
• Oversee business development with appointed agencies and conduct underwriting file self-reviews.
• Lead a team of remote and on-site staff across CA, NV, AZ, WA, and OR.
• Oversee education and development programs for the agribusiness organization.

Job Overview

The Director- Agri Business is responsible for establishing and executing on overall performance and objectives for the company’s agri business insurance division. This includes but is not limited to the development of growth and production goals, ensuring profitability by establishing underwriting rules and guidelines, overseeing business development opportunities with appointed agencies, execution on underwriting file self-reviews, and the education and development program of the agribusiness organization. This position is the leader of a team of remote and office employees throughout the states of operation- CA, NV, AZ, WA, and OR.

Salary Range: $138,022.00 - $230,038.00

The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as benefits and bonus programs.
